Gainesville, Florida; May 2010 to April 2011.
First one to hold the position. Created all the child pages under the parent directory "UF/SFC Students" using the Tandem Server content management system. Coordinated with the student leaders and minister to fill the pages with essential details about events and programs hosted at the student center. Shared the events through Twitter, Facebook and Google Calendar. Wrote a 14-page transition report to explain the job to my successor.
Also designed a flier and a brochure for The Center, helped run events and coordinated a $3,000 student fundraiser.


Intern,University of Florida Health Science and Communications Center
Gainesville, Florida; August 2010 to December 2010.
Spent 12 hours a week in the office writing profiles and articles about health and science.

Wrote copy about the medical, veterinary medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, public health and public professions schools for The POST newsletter and websites. Copy ranged from 100-word blurbs to 500-word profiles.

Spent 30 hours a week in the newsroom writing feature stories for the bimonthly magazine. My 11 feature stories were published in the August/September, October/November and February/March issues. Several stories re-ran in the Gainesville Sun newspaper.
